**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler**
Job Description
We are seeking skilled Mechanical Assemblers to join our team in assembling frack trucks. The role involves using hand and power tools to assemble components based on blueprints. You will work with both standard and metric bolts and nuts, and handle hydraulic systems, including running hydraulic and pneumatic hoses, installing drive pumps, and mounting components such as pumps, motors, and compressors. The position also requires operating overhead cranes and performing service work on trucks, including teardowns and rebuilds.
Responsibilities
+ Assemble frack trucks using hand and power tools based on blueprints.
+ Work with hydraulic systems, running hoses and installing components.
+ Mount and install various components including pumps, motors, and compressors.
+ Operate overhead cranes to move motors and accessories.
+ Perform service work such as changing brake pads, tires, hoses, and gears.
+ Test assembled units before they are dispatched.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of heavy mechanical assembly experience in fabrication or industrial settings.
+ Experience with hydraulic assembly.
+ Proficiency in assembling pumps, motors, compressors, and turbines.
+ Ability to read blueprints and use hand, power, and air tools.
+ Possession of own tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience from frack equipment companies or gas compression shops is advantageous.
+ Experience in assembling skidded units, trailers, or industrial enclosures is beneficial.
+ Experience in top drive industries or working with hydrators, turbines, or blenders is ideal.

Work Environment
The work takes place in a very large open shop, primarily on the day shift. The hours are Monday to Friday, from 6am to 5pm, with plenty of overtime available and occasional Saturdays as needed.

This is a Contract position based out of HOUSTON, Texas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr.
