Mechanical Assembler
Seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

As an Assembler, you will be responsible for reading blueprints and drawings to material handling equipment. This role involves mechanical assembly using hand and power tools to construct mechanical components, fitting and fastening to align and secure parts and subassemblies, and ensuring they fit correctly and function properly. You will also mount and configure parts onto larger customer-specific equipment, conduct quality control and testing, troubleshoot and report issues or malfunctions, and perform preventive maintenance on assembly equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

Read blueprints and drawings to build material handling equipment and other components.Perform mechanical assembly using hand and power tools to construct mechanical components.Fit and fasten to align and secure parts and subassemblies.Mount and configure parts onto larger customer-specific equipment.Conduct quality control and testing to ensure all components and machinery operate according to specifications.Troubleshoot and report issues or malfunctions.Make adjustments to resolve assembly problems and ensure all components meet the required specifications.Perform preventive maintenance on assembly equipment and tools.

Essential Skills

2-5 years of mechanical assembly experience.Proficient in reading blueprints and shop drawings.Ability to operate hand tools and power tools.Experience performing fabrication.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in reading schematic drawings.Electrical wiring to panels and sensors.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
