**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler/Copper To Copper Brazing**
Job Description
The mechanical assembler will be responsible for brazing copper to copper piping using an oxyacetylene torch on a daily basis. Each unit is custom-built, requiring the cutting and assembling of piping to meet specific customer needs. The assembler will work from blueprints and also assist in assembling the enclosures for these racks. This role involves significant physical activity, including bending, kneeling, and twisting throughout the day.
Responsibilities
+ Brazing copper to copper piping using an oxyacetylene torch.
+ Cutting piping to the correct length and assembling it according to customer specifications.
+ Working from blueprints as needed.
+ Assisting in the assembly of enclosures for racks.
+ Engaging in physical activities such as bending, kneeling, and twisting.
Essential Skills
+ Mechanical assembly experience.
+ Able to read a tape measure down to 1/16th
+ Ability to read and work from blueprints.
+ Proficiency in using hand tools and tape measures.
+ Experience with brazing and schematic understanding.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 3+ months of mechanical assembly, complex machine operation, or construction experience.
+ Mechanical aptitude demonstrated through various experiences such as farm machinery repair or auto work.
+ Plumbing or entry-level welding experience is beneficial.
+ Capability to transition from brazing copper to MIG welding on mild steel.

Work Environment
The work takes place in a large manufacturing building where units are assembled in teams of 3-4 people. The environment is fast-paced and well-lit, though employees may get dirty due to the nature of the work. Work hours are from 5:00am to 3:30pm or 6:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday. While there is no air conditioning, fans are used to maintain air flow. Steel-toed shoes and long pants are required daily.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ramsey, Minnesota.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
