Job Description
As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling test filtration machinery to meet both production and quality standards. You will select appropriate assembly methods and erection procedures based on blueprints, fitting parts to tolerances and operating requirements using hand and power tools. Additionally, you will align subassemblies, cut and fit pipe and tubing, perform operating tests, and make final adjustments.
Responsibilities
Fit, align, and assemble manufactured or purchased parts, motors, pumps, and subassemblies into completed units.Make necessary electrical and piping connections.Position parts according to the layout of the unit being assembled or as per engineering drawings.Fasten parts together using bolts, screws, speed clips, or other fasteners.Drill and tap holes for fasteners.Visually inspect parts and assemblies for fit and surface defects, and notify the supervisor of any discrepancies.Remove small quantities of metal with hand files to ensure a close fit between parts.Test components and units for proper operation.Essential Skills
Experience with troubleshooting and the use of hand and power tools.Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.Knowledge of mechanical assembly, machine building, installation, and hydraulics.Ability to perform maintenance, including preventive measures, and fabrication tasks.Experience with electrical and mechanical systems.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with welding and wiring.Capability to work with construction equipment.Understanding of assembly procedures and techniques.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The position is for the second shift, running from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of working up to 8 hours on Saturdays if needed. Flexibility to start at 6:00 AM on some days is required. Temperature control may vary, with fans and open doors for ventilation in summer, along with cold drinks and frozen treats provided during the warmer months.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
