Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

Join a dynamic team as a Mechanical Assembler, where you will be responsible for the assembly of valves, coils, and other large mechanical structural parts. You will work collaboratively with a team to install components such as bus ducts, air handlers, cable trays, pipes, and sheet metal into oversized modules built from structural tubes. Additionally, you will perform basic electrical assembly tasks including wiring, installation of bus bars, and cable trays. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, BOM, P&IDs, and work orders, all within a fast-paced and repetitive environment.

ResponsibilitiesPerform mechanical assembly of valves, coils, and large structural parts.Collaborate with team members to install bus ducts, air handlers, cable trays, pipes, and sheet metal.Conduct basic electrical assembly tasks such as wiring and installation of bus bars and cable trays.Read and interpret blueprints, BOM, P&IDs, and work instructions.Relay technical information to team members effectively.Essential SkillsProficiency in mechanical assembly and valve assembly.Experience with hand tools like drills, caulking guns, grinders, torque wrenches, and measuring tapes.Ability to use machines such as large band saws, pipe bevellers, and magnetic drills.History in mass production or high-volume manufacturing.Basic electrical skills including wire pulling and conduit assistance.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with electro-mechanical assembly and mechanical technician roles.Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpretation.Previous experience with similar companies like Enerflex, Spitzer, Hanover, Orizon, Turbo Fab, and others.Work Environment

This position is set in a manufacturing environment with concrete flooring and non-climate-controlled conditions. Open bay doors allow frequent movement of forklifts and overhead cranes. Working alongside welders may be required depending on the facility.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $25.00/hr.
