Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

The Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for assembling the outer unit of control boxes and panels using basic power tools such as drills and air compressed tools. The candidate will fit and install prefabricated parts and modify basic components, sub-assemblies, and structures.

ResponsibilitiesAct as assembly project lead on low to moderate complexity projects.Direct the work of MO2 assemblers, ensuring quality and accountability for assembly projects.Read and interpret engineering drawings, excluding wiring portions, and utilize the Bill of Materials.Utilize 3D model viewing software and Microsoft Office products for various tasks.Flex to other departments as necessary and resolve discrepancies with supervisors.Escalate drawing concerns via appropriate channels.Repair and modify errors detected by test/inspection.Work according to CSA and UL codes.Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the internal KANBAN process.Apply consistency in assembly methods for units on the same order.Conduct visual inspections of materials before and after assembly.Prepare units for testing processes and ensure performance compliance to quality standards.Perform packing and shipping duties.Use various fixtures, gauges, and assembly tools for product assembly, adjustment, or repair.Perform other duties as required.Essential Skills3 years of experience in assembly within a manufacturing environment, including hand and power tool experience.Ability to lift 25lbs.Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience using strippers and crimpers.Wiring knowledge.Basic math skills.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a production facility that is clean and spacious. Some areas may have a loud production environment. Shift options include afternoon shifts from 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm or 3:30 pm to 12:00 am.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
