Mechanical Assembler
**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler** **Job Description** We are seeking skilled mechanical assemblers to join our team, responsible for assembling and fabricating trailers used by law enforcement and military personnel. These positions will initially interview at the Boise facility but will transition to our Nampa facility as we expand operations. You will work on custom-made products that enhance the functionality of police and fire vehicles by building Extendobeds featuring drawers to hold supplies and tools. **Responsibilities** + Assemble metal parts from the welding shop into the final product, including extendobeds. + Perform drilling, sawing (metal and wood), riveting, and light metal fabrication tasks. + Install decks, drawers, slides, and other accessories into the final product. + Crate completed products for shipment. + Use a variety of hand tools, including panel saws, table saws, staple guns, and drills. + Ensure accurate measurements using tape measures and apply mathematical skills for precise assembly. + Lift and handle items up to 75 lbs. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in mechanical assembly and fabrication. + Experience with hand tools and power tools. + Ability to accurately use a tape measure. + Strong background in carpentry and general production. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Previous experience in mechanical assembly. + Knowledge of light metal fabrication techniques. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy competitive pay with structured increases, starting at $19.50/hour and rising to $21.50/hour after conversion. Work in a supportive environment with a shift from Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, typically totaling 45-50 hours per week. Safety is paramount, requiring composite-toed shoes and safety glasses at all times. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boise, Idaho. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $20.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
