**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler**
**Job Description**
Join a premier PCB manufacturing company specializing in Electronic Manufacturing Services located in Hillsboro. You will play a crucial role in preparing and finishing product builds for the Mechanical department, ensuring they meet quality control standards.
**Responsibilities**
+ Prepare and finish product builds for the Mechanical department prior to quality control review, ensuring compliance with IPC-610 Class 2 standards.
+ Audit kits from Pep/Insert to ensure customer-approved components are included and counts are correct.
+ Follow weekly build/ship and production schedules, informing the supervisor or team lead of any delays.
+ Prepare customer fixtures and finish the buildup of circuit boards according to specifications.
+ Crimp various cable assemblies and ensure proper labeling of circuit boards before sending them to quality control or testing.
+ Communicate any quality issues to the supervisor within fifteen minutes of discovery.
+ Perform kit audits, verifying components, quantities, manufacturer, and approved substitutes.
+ Train co-workers up to Assembler I level and follow ESD procedures.
+ Maintain a clean and organized production area, ensuring proper documentation and indicating training needs.
+ Only operate equipment for which you are certified, and inform the supervisor if training is inadequate.
+ Keep safety stock of production consumables and order supplies as needed.
+ Adhere to all company policies and procedures and actively participate in team meetings.
+ Assist in training co-workers on various jobs and follow all safety requirements.
+ Report safety accidents, illnesses, and potential safety issues to the supervisor or lead.
+ Stay informed about industry technology, trends, and share relevant information with the company.
+ Occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds, frequently use hands, and perform repetitive motion tasks.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in assembly, electrical, hand tools, wiring, and blueprint reading.
+ Experience in mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, general labor, crimping, and tape measure usage.
+ Familiarity with assembling, packaging, hand and power tools, inspection, and troubleshooting.
+ Ability to read blueprints, schematics, control panels, panel wiring, and wiring diagrams.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 2-5 years of assembly experience.
+ Compliance with ITAR regulations.
+ Computer proficiency.
+ High School Diploma.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hillsboro, Oregon.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
