**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler**
**Job Description**
Join the largest global manufacturer of Ground Support Equipment in the aviation and aerospace industries as a Mechanical Assembler. Contribute to the assembly of cutting-edge equipment in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assemble pre-formed sheet metal components using drills, wrenches, and other hand/power tools.
+ Read and interpret drawings and sketches to ensure precision in assembly.
+ Maintain a daily time log of work completed on manufacturing and production travelers.
+ Conduct sub-assemblies for custom-built Ground Support Equipment units for major airlines and government entities.
+ Perform additional duties as assigned to support production needs.
**Essential Skills**
+ At least 1 year of assembly or production experience.
+ Mechanical aptitude, preferably with experience in the automotive field.
+ Proficiency in taking accurate measurements using a tape measure.
+ Experience in using hand and power tools.
+ Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a daily basis.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience beyond entry-level in assembly or production settings.
+ True mechanical experience, beyond basic automotive service roles.

**Work Environment**
Work on a large shop floor with over 170 people on 1st shift and around 20 on 2nd shift. Enjoy a production setting where jeans and shirts are acceptable, with uniforms provided within a month. Tools are provided, and steel-toed boots are required. Be prepared for a lively atmosphere, especially during busy seasons, with potential overtime on weekends and weekdays.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windsor, Connecticut.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
