Mechanical Assembler
**Aerotek is hiring multiple Mechanical Assembler's! Starting pay $27+** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team. You will be responsible for building and assembling heat treat furnaces using a variety of hand and power tools, guided by customer blueprints and schematics. Your role will include operating drill motors, jig saws, and Sawzall, as well as setting up and operating stud guns. **Responsibilities** + Read and interpret standard documentation, such as blueprints, sketches, bills of material, and routings. + Understand pertinent data including required dimensions, tolerances, shapes, descriptions, notes, and symbols. + Work within close tolerances using appropriate measuring devices as required. + Plan layout, parts positioning, component fit-up, assembly sequence, and equipment. + Set up, adjust, and operate pipe cutting and threading equipment or other required tooling. + Apply the fundamentals of pipe fitting techniques, procedures, installation, and application. + Dismantle, straighten, reshape, and reassemble components or assemblies to specification. + Verify proof of conformance of finished products to specification and complete required build checklists for each job. + Perform preassembly and general assembly for all product groups, including vacuum and atmosphere product lines. + Perform tank assembly, pump assembly, and install all fittings and components for the water system assembly. + Assemble and install panels and associated valves for pneumatic air systems. + Connect water, gas, air, and exhaust systems to support equipment testing. + Perform equipment teardown procedures and prepare equipment for shipment. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and mechanical schematics. + Experience with mechanical assembly, hydraulics, and machine building. + Skilled in using hand and power tools, including torque tools. + Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems. + Capability to work within close tolerances. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Knowledge of vacuum and atmosphere product lines. + Experience with welding and pipe fitting techniques. + Familiarity with schematic reading and wiring. **Why Work Here?** Join our team to benefit from comprehensive health, vision, and dental plans, as well as a 401k. You will work in a union environment. The shifts are as follows: 1st shift from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm and 2nd shift from 4:30 pm to 3:00 am. Workdays are Monday to Friday, with current Saturday hours from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm. Training may occur on the 1st shift, with potential shift changes based on union seniority rules. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.00/hr.
