**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler**
**Job Description**
As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for brazing copper piping using an oxyacetylene torch, ensuring each custom unit meets specific customer needs. Your role involves cutting piping to length and assembling racks within designated housings. You will work off blueprints, contributing to the assembly and movement of components throughout the day, which requires bending, kneeling, and twisting.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform brazing of copper to copper piping using oxyacetylene torch.
+ Cut piping to specified lengths and assemble according to customer requirements.
+ Work off blueprints to ensure accurate assembly.
+ Assist in assembling housings for racks.
+ Engage in physical activities such as bending, kneeling, and twisting.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in mechanical assembly.
+ Experience with brazing techniques.
+ Ability to interpret and work from blueprints and schematics.
+ General labor skills and familiarity with using hand tools.
+ Competence in using a tape measure to ensure accurate cuts.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Mechanically inclined with at least 3+ months of experience in mechanical assembly, complex machine operation, or construction.
+ Experience in plumbing or entry-level welding is advantageous.
+ Individuals with experience in machinery repair or automotive work are encouraged.

**Work Environment**
You will work in a large, fast-paced manufacturing facility, collaborating in teams of 3-4 people. The environment is well-lit, clean, but due to the nature of the work, it can be dirty. Working hours are from 5:00am-3:30pm or 6:00am-4:30pm Monday to Thursday. While there is no A/C, fans help maintain air flow. Steel-toed shoes and long pants are required attire.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ramsey, Minnesota.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
