**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler**
**Job Description**

**Responsibilities**
+ Assemble pre-formed sheet metal components using equipment such as drills, wrenches, and other hand/power tools.
+ Read and interpret drawings and sketches to ensure accurate assembly.
+ Maintain a daily time log of work completed on manufacturing and production travelers.
+ Perform other assigned duties as needed to support production goals.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proven assembly or true production experience, preferably with at least one year in a similar role.
+ Mechanical aptitude, with experience in automotive or related fields.
+ Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
+ Ability to take accurate measurements using a tape measure.
+ Physical capability to lift 50 lbs. on a daily basis.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in a fast-paced production environment.
+ Mechanical assembly skills, particularly in aviation or automotive sectors.

**Work Environment**
Work in a large, bustling production setting with over 170 colleagues on the first shift and around 20 on the second. The environment is fast-paced and can get chaotic, so adaptability is key. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with shifts running from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm for the first shift and 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm for the second shift. Overtime is highly preferred during busy periods, including weekends. Dress code is casual with jeans and shirts acceptable, and you'll receive a uniform after your first month. Steel-toed boots are required, and all necessary tools will be provided.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windsor, Connecticut.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
