Mechanical Assembler
**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler** **Job Description** The Manufacturing Operator B is responsible for line component assembly, individual sub-assembly, material and final washing, rework and repair operations, and pallet loading. This role ensures quality and manufacturing processes align with company objectives to achieve customer satisfaction. **Responsibilities** + Prepare work by studying job packet and work instructions. + Utilize parts, sub-assemblies, tools, and materials to manufacture and test products. + Examine parts for correct fit and assemble parts and subassemblies per the work instructions. + Verify specifications through visual inspection, automated measuring/monitoring equipment, and final test equipment. + Resolve problems related to meeting specifications by communicating with the Line Lead or Supervisor. + Document actions by completing production and quality forms. + Escalate issues that prevent the execution of standard work in the work center. + Initiate programs and operate test stands. + Assist Engineering in troubleshooting general issues. + Maintain product quality by following established procedures and customer requirements. + Promote and maintain a clean and safe work environment, notifying the Line Lead or Supervisor of any problems. + Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. + Participate and contribute to team efforts by working toward daily metrics. + Maintain daily housekeeping to promote a clean, productive environment. + Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Line Lead or Supervisor. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in using hand and power tools. + Experience in mechanical assembly. + Ability to read blueprints. + Capability to meet standard productivity levels. + Experience in deburring, grinding, and machine operation. + At least 6 months of manufacturing experience. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with automated measuring/monitoring equipment. + Previous mechanical assembly experience preferred. **Why Work Here?** We offer an excellent benefits package, including profit sharing up to 5%, a 5% match on 401k, and tuition reimbursement. The environment includes exposure to oils, cleaners, loud noises (requiring hearing protection in select areas), moving parts, equipment, and coolants. Eye protection is required in all plant work areas, and slip-resistant safety shoes are necessary. The shop is very clean, air-conditioned, and requires standing all day. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.70 - $20.30/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
