Job Title: Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

The Manufacturing Operator B is responsible for performing line component assembly, individual sub-assembly, material and final washing, rework and repair operations, and pallet loading. This role assists in maintaining quality and manufacturing processes to meet company objectives and achieve customer satisfaction. Additionally, the operator will be trained to hook up pumps being assembled to specific devices for testing.

Pay: $19.30

ResponsibilitiesPrepare work by studying job packets and work instructions.Utilize available parts, sub-assemblies, tools, and materials to manufacture and test products.Examine parts for correct fit and assemble parts and subassemblies per work instructions.Verify specifications through visual inspection, automated measuring/monitoring equipment, and final test equipment.Demonstrate capability to meet standard productivity levels.Resolve problems related to meeting specifications by communicating with Line Leads or Supervisors.Document actions by completing production and quality forms.Escalate issues preventing the execution of standard work.Operate test stands and assist Engineering in troubleshooting.Maintain product quality by following established procedures and customer requirements.Promote a clean and safe work environment by complying with procedures, policies, and regulations.Notify Line Lead or Supervisor immediately of any problems.Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.Contribute to team efforts by working toward daily metrics.Maintain daily housekeeping to promote a clean, productive environment.Perform other duties as assigned by Line Lead or Supervisor.Essential SkillsProficiency in assembly and using hand tools.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.6+ months of manufacturing experience.Mechanical assembly experience preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with power tools and tape measures.Capability to initiate programs and operate test stands.Proactive in resolving issues and maintaining communication with supervisors.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The role involves standing throughout the day shift in a manufacturing environment exposed to oils, cleaners, loud noises (requiring hearing protection), moving parts, equipment, and coolants. Eye protection is mandatory in all plant work areas, and slip-resistant safety shoes are required. The facility is very clean and equipped with air conditioning.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.30 - $19.30/hr.
