**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler** **Job Description** As a Mechanical Assembler, you will engage in various assembly tasks, focusing primarily on assembling sinks. This role requires selecting appropriate components for specific assembly processes, utilizing air power tools and hand tools, and occasionally making adjustments to ensure proper fit. You will interpret technical drawings and blueprints, troubleshoot assembly issues, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize procedures. A keen eye for detail and strict adherence to safety and quality standards are essential. **Responsibilities** + Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand assembly requirements. + Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues to maintain production efficiency. + Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance. + Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize assembly procedures. + Choose appropriate components for specified assembly procedures. + Utilize air power tools and hand tools for assembly tasks. + Adjust components to ensure correct assembly fit. + Follow safety and quality standards throughout the assembly process. **Essential Skills** + Experience in Sheet Metal Manufacturing Assembly (2-5 years). + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Knowledge of safety protocols and practices in a manufacturing environment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Technical certification is a plus. **Why Work Here?** Join a union company with excellent benefits, including a 401K match up to 4%, a yearly 5% bonus from salary, and participation in the Sheet Metal Workers Local 73 Union. The position is for the 2nd shift, working from 2:30pm to 11pm, for 40-45 hours a week, with occasional weekends. Dress code includes jeans and a t-shirt, along with safety glasses and steel toe boots. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Broadview, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.33 - $21.33/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
