Mechanical Assembler 2nd Shift
**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler - 2nd Shift** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team for the 2nd shift. In this role, you will be building large cooling units, utilizing hand and power tools, and working with metal framing and copper tubing. You will also be responsible for drilling holes, piping, and metal tubing. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with reading and writing directions from leads or diagrams, and performing basic, standardized, and repetitive assembly operations. Hands-on training will be provided. **Responsibilities** + Build large cooling units using hand and power tools. + Work with metal framing, copper tubing, and conduct drilling. + Perform piping and metal tubing tasks. + Read and write directions from leads or diagrams. + Utilize manual lifting devices and perform heavy lifting with team assistance. + Conduct basic, standardized, and repetitive assembly operations and labeling. + Manually assemble inserted components per visual aids, verifying specifications. + Inspect assembled parts to ensure correct assembly. **Essential Skills** + Basic mechanical aptitude. + Ability to read and interpret graphs and diagrams. + 1+ year experience in detailed mechanical assembly. + Previous assembly experience in a manufacturing environment. + Ability to follow directions. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Electrical knowledge is a plus. + Experience with hand tools, blueprints, mechanical and assembly line work. + Familiarity with inspection, visual inspection, production, mechanical assembly, electrical troubleshooting, tubing, repair, and schematics. **Why Work Here?** Join a company that offers significant growth opportunities and truly cares for its employees. The facility is temperature-controlled, and steel toe shoes are required. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $23.32 - $23.32/hr.
