Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Assembler, where you will be responsible for assembling metal-clad equipment and other power distribution equipment. Your role will involve installing components, units, and subassemblies according to job specifications. You will read and interpret mechanical drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and reports to determine material requirements and assembly instructions. Your work will involve adjusting, repairing, or replacing electrical components/parts to correct defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
Responsibilities
Set up and maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.Understand and follow all safety policies and procedures.Install components by reading and interpreting material lists and panel layouts.Disassemble finished products, prepare for shipping, and assist in the shipping process.Understand and execute company goals and objectives while actively contributing to team cohesion.Perform all duties assigned by your immediate supervisor and/or management.Essential Skills
Proficiency in mechanical assembly and reading blueprints.Experience with hand tools and power tools.Mechanical aptitude and a mechanically inclined mindset.Experience in mechanical repair and assembly.Ability to read a measuring tape to a 1/16” measurement.Capability of reading and interpreting documents such as assembly drawings/instructions.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution required.1-2 years assembly experience preferred.Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations using whole numbers and fractions.Capability of using/operating hand-held power tools, overhead cranes, forklifts, and pallet jacks.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagrammatic form.Proficiency in written and spoken communication.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Our work environment is clean and quiet, with excellent lighting. Employees work on 1st shift from 5:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Thursday, and on 2nd shift from 3:30 pm to 1:30 am, Monday to Thursday. Optional overtime may be available on Fridays. The facility is equipped with advanced tools and machinery to support your work, including hand-held power tools, overhead cranes, forklifts, and pallet jacks. Dress code is casual and comfortable to ensure ease of movement while working.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canton, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
