Don’t wait… apply today!** **A mechanic specializing in valve repair, or a valve technician, is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and testing of various types of industrial and commercial valves. This includes diagnosing issues, disassembling and reassembling valves, cleaning and inspecting components, and ensuring proper operation and safety.** **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:** + **Record maintenance information, including test results, material usage, and repairs made.** + **Disassemble and repair mechanical control devices or valves, such as regulators, thermostats, or hydrants, using power tools, hand tools, and cutting torches.** + **Lubricate wearing surfaces of mechanical parts, using oils or other lubricants.** + **Calibrate instrumentation, such as meters, gauges, and regulators, for pressure, temperature, flow, and level.** + **Install, inspect, and test electric meters, relays, and power sources to detect causes of malfunctions and inaccuracies, using hand tools and testing equipment.** **Physical demands this position is medium to heavy.** + **Visual Acuity, balancing, stooping, reaching, walking, manual dexterity, grasping, feeling, hearing, talking.** + **Capacity to think, concentrate and focus for extended periods of time.** + **Ability to read complex documents in the English language.** + **Capacity to reason and make sound decisions.** + **Ability to write complex documents in the English language.** + **Capacity to express thoughts orally.** **Are you Interested?** **Stop your job search and apply today!
