We make the best peanut butter by roasting and grinding peanuts combined with other raw ingredients that flow to a 1 fully automated line consisting of a filler, capper, labeler and pallet wrapper, and then shipped out all over the world!** **Come and join our Team!** **Location: 30 Citizen Court, Markham ON** **Shift:** **Flexible Monday to Day (6am to 2pm) or Afternoon Shift 2pm to 10pm) able to work weekends** **UFCW Union Rate:** **one (1) ticket =$36.77 increasing to $38.06 on March 1 2026** **two (2) tickets =$41.18 increasing to $42.63 on March 1 2026** **Position Summary:** Reporting to the Maintenance manager, the Industrial Electrician/Mechanic will perform preventative maintenance duties on production equipment as well as troubleshooting machines, managing motor controls and will be required to interpret and read electrical drawings. Job Responsibilities · Maintain, diagnose/troubleshoot and repair a variety of electro-mechanical equipment in both processing and high-speed packaging. · Will be required to perform line changeovers and equipment set-ups · Will be responsible to complete all Maintenance, Safety, Food Safety and General Training courses and documentation · Planning, parts and tools identification and executing rebuilds of existing equipment or installation of new equipment. · Work with automated and robotics systems, conveyors and processing equipment (i.e. roaster, mills, fillers, capper, labeller, case packer, bundle wrapper), auxiliary plant equipment · Fabricate parts as required/requested · Read and interpret drawings and blueprints. · Work with Machine Operators on troubleshooting equipment · Maintain, diagnose and repair electrical control and instrumentation · Replace electrical/electronic and control hardware including PLCs and HMIs · Set-up and calibrate various instrumentation (i.e. metal detectors, check-weighers, scales, feeders, temperature and flow transmitters · Maintain, diagnose and repair PLC, HMI and ancillary controls instrumentation · Edit PLC/HMI software, backup programs and software, update software/hardware revisions · Maintain, diagnose and repair E-net/IP communications systems including switches · Maintain, diagnose and repair interplant analog, digital and VoIP phone systems · Maintain, diagnose and repair plant WIFI systems · Reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager but will also be required to follow direction of on shift production supervisor · All positions within Golden Boy Foods Ltd are mandated to adhere to Good Manufacturing (GMP) and uphold food safety standards. · Other duties as required **Education And Experience Required:** · Ontario 309A or 442A Electrician License a requirement · High School Diploma or GED · 2-4 years’ experience in an electrical-mechanical maintenance role in a food manufacturing environment · Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing **Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:** · Electrical and Mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment · Ability to read and interpret electrical & mechanical drawings · Experience in a food manufacturing facility with liquid filling experience a requirement · Work to current electrical codes · Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm · An organizes problem solver, able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment **Physical Requirements:** Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation: + Lifting 23kg (50lbs) periodically + Ability to climb and work from ladders and elevated surfaces This position is a vacant position and both internal and external candidates may apply.
