**Mechanic -** **Facilities & Industrial Maintenance** **Position Summary** We are seeking a skilled and reliable **Mechanic** to support the mechanical, electrical, and structural integrity of our facilities. This role is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting industrial equipment, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and ammonia systems. The Mechanic will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability through effective preventive maintenance planning and execution in a GMP-regulated production environment. **Key Responsibilities** + Support the Facilities Manager in ensuring all facilities are structurally sound, mechanically functional, electrically efficient, and compliant with safety standards. + Plan, schedule, and execute daily and weekly preventive maintenance activities using preventive maintenance work orders and schedules. + Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, PLCs, and mechanical equipment in accordance with diagrams, operation manuals, and engineering specifications. + Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair plant systems, PLCs, and mechanical equipment following established procedures. + Perform required preventive maintenance on PLC systems, including lubrication, cleaning, and filter replacement. + Monitor and coordinate with third-party mechanical maintenance contractors to ensure work quality, compliance, and long-term reliability of equipment. + Identify and address potential issues to minimize downtime and prevent future operational disruptions. + Communicate effectively with internal support teams, following proper escalation and reporting procedures. + Adhere to all safety, GMP, HACCP, and company policies and procedures at all times. + Perform additional maintenance-related duties as assigned to support overall facility operations. **Required Qualifications** + 3–5 years of experience in mechanical and industrial maintenance. + High School Diploma or equivalent required. + Hands-on experience with: + Electrical systems + Pneumatics and hydraulics + Ammonia systems and controls + Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. **Preferred Skills & Additional Qualifications** + Experience in troubleshooting GMP-regulated equipment. + Proficiency with hand and power tools for mechanical and electrical repairs. + Welding experience and ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings. + Experience operating industrial machinery and troubleshooting PLC systems. + Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards. **Work Environment & Schedule** + GMP-regulated production and manufacturing environment. + Afternoon or evening shift availability required. + Clean, well-maintained facility with a strong focus on safety and compliance. + Employees are expected to maintain a reliable attendance record. + Opportunities for cross-training and skill development across multiple systems. **Why Work With Us?** + Clean, well-managed, and safety-focused work environment + Supportive leadership and collaborative team culture + Opportunities for continuous learning, cross-training, and career growth + Stable organization with a commitment to employee development **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Frederick, MD. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $29.00/hr.
