Job Description
The role involves the assembly, repair, and troubleshooting of truck-mounted concrete boom pumps. You will operate concrete pumps, troubleshoot hydraulic systems, and test parts and components to ensure their proper function. Additionally, you will assemble the body of trucks and concrete boom attachments, including pipes, flanges, toolboxes, steps, and various parts for pumps on trucks.
Responsibilities
Operate concrete pumps and troubleshoot hydraulic systems.Test parts and components to ensure proper function.Assemble truck bodies and concrete boom attachments.Ensure the correct fitting of all parts and run airlines.Remove and assemble fuel tanks using hand and power tools.Read and understand blueprints and engineering drawings.Conduct field work for 1-2 weeks per month.Essential Skills
Minimum of 4-5 years of mechanic experience in a heavy industrial setting.Proficient in reading production drawings and using a tape measure.Possess a set of tools necessary for the job.Ability to travel within Canada and the US.Nice to Have Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with forklifts and overhead cranes is advantageous.Familiarity with assembling concrete pumps.Experience in sandblasting, industrial painting, or polishing is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is a clean and spacious shop within a heavy industrial manufacturing setting. Featuring the largest paint booth in the lower mainland, operations are automated, eliminating the need for ladders. Flexibility is required as daily tasks may vary, and you may need to assist different departments. The facility operates on day and afternoon shifts from Monday to Thursday, with field workers preferred to do day shifts when working in the shop. The shop is located in Aldergrove, BC.
