**Job Title: Mechanic** **Job Description** This position is for a Machine Mechanic within a rebuilding and job shop environment, specializing in custom machine building. The role involves evaluating machines, breaking them down, determining root causes, solving problems, and repairing and rebuilding equipment. **Responsibilities** + Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repair of used packaging machines to ensure productive operation. + Utilize hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers, as well as power tools like drills and impacts. + Read and interpret tape measures when necessary. + Engage in fabrication and production tasks, which are considered an advantage. + Lift up to 50 pounds as part of regular duties. **Essential Skills** + At least 2 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic, machine builder, or custom automotive mechanic/fabricator. + Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and machine troubleshooting. + Capability to work from verbal instructions and blueprints. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with machine building, maintenance, and preventive maintenance. + Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, schematics, pneumatics, and welding. + Ability to perform machine assembly, electrical assembly, and installations. + High school diploma or trade school education is preferred. **Why Work Here?** The company offers a close-knit environment with significant growth opportunities.
