Job Title: Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. This role involves maintaining both non-powered and powered equipment, including dollies, towbars, aircraft stairs, baggage carts, ramp vehicles, cargo loaders, forklifts, and various other loaders. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and ensuring safety checks on equipment, as well as documenting work orders and maintaining a clean workspace both in the facility and airside.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair a variety of equipment, both powered and non-powered.Conduct preventative maintenance including oil, filter, suspension, brakes, lighting, and emergency brakes.Go on the road to procure parts and make deliveries.Document work orders meticulously.Keep a clean and organized workspace in both the facility and airside.

Essential Skills

Experience as a diesel mechanic or ground support equipment technician.Experience with troubleshooting heavy equipment and diesel engines.Proficiency in hydraulics, electrical troubleshooting, pneumatics, and mechanical troubleshooting.Must possess own basic hand tools.Ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Journeyman Mechanic certification in automotive or heavy duty.Experience on aviation equipment and heavy construction machinery.Experience conducting inspections.

Work Environment

Based in Calgary, our facility houses over 100 employees, including cargo staff and aircraft mechanics. You will be part of a small team of 2 technicians led by a manager. We operate Monday to Friday, with opportunities for overtime. The environment is highly collaborative and team-oriented, with a shop located on airport grounds.

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85280.00/yr.
