Job Title: Mechanics $24-$27

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing mechanical maintenance activities to the equipment used to cast and form steel products, such as sheet, coil, I-beam, and billets.Must be capable of reading and interpreting written work instructions, engineering specifications, and measuring instruments.Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and analyzing wear and tear of machinesRemoves and replaces defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools.Assembles and disassembles casting equipment at the customer site.Conserve’s maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently to accomplish job results.Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

 

TOOLS USED: hand, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools, indicators, gages, micrometers

Essential Skills

Troubleshooting mechanical and maintenance issues.Understanding of blueprints and schematics.Experience in machine operating or fabricating.Knowledge in diesel, electrical, repair, hydraulics, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, blueprint reading, diesel engines, schematics, hand tools, welding, three-phase motors, wiring, mechanical assembly, and electrical assembly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency with hand and power tools.Strong mechanical aptitude.Experience in mechanical and electrical assembly.

Work Environment

You will work in a heavy manufacturing environment where safety and precision are paramount. This role requires the use of various tools and equipment, and adherence to safety standards is essential. Be prepared for a dynamic environment that might require travel to other locations.

This is a Contract To Hire position based out of Ghent, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
