Job Title: Mechanic
Job Description

Join our team as a mechanic where you will be responsible for the installation and repair of industrial truck bodies, hoists, hydraulics, platforms, liftgates, tarps, snowplows, sanders, and truck accessories. You will perform some fabrication, welding, and 12 Volt wiring, along with oxy-acetylene or plasma torching.

ResponsibilitiesPerform installation and repair of industrial truck bodies, hoists, hydraulics, platforms, liftgates, tarps, snowplows, sanders, and truck accessories.Conduct fabrication, welding, and 12 Volt wiring.Utilize oxy-acetylene or plasma torching techniques.Apply knowledge of electrical hook-ups and hydraulics.Complete other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsProficiency in fabrication, MIG welding, and hydraulics.Experience with pneumatics and repair.Background in repair/mechanic/welding.Strong attention to detail.Skills in installation, electrical troubleshooting, and blueprint reading.Mechanical aptitude and HVAC knowledge.Additional Skills & QualificationsMust own small hand tools such as impact wrenches.Steel toed shoes and safety glasses required.Ability to read and understand work orders.Capability to work independently.Forklift experience is required.Must be able to lift upwards of 50 lbs.Experience in standing, reaching, bending, squatting on a continual basis.Preferred but not required: DOT certification for inspections.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a large job shop with multiple buildings and garages, similar to a truck dealership. Collaborate with a team in a fast-paced environment, interacting with customers and testing equipment outside when necessary. Uniforms are provided, and the shop handles big municipal trucks, dump trucks, and large semi-trucks, focusing on time-sensitive tasks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
