Job Title: Mechanic
Job Description

As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing scheduled basic truck and trailer preventative maintenance. Your role will include installing wheel assemblies and tires, completing basic electrical and trailer repairs, and diagnosing issues with the trailer tracking system (RCOM).

ResponsibilitiesPerform scheduled basic truck preventative maintenance services.Conduct scheduled trailer basic preventative maintenance.Install wheel assemblies and tires.Complete basic electrical and trailer repairs.Diagnose and repair basic trailer tracking system (RCOM) issues.Essential SkillsExperience with diesel engines and mechanical systems.Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.Knowledge of brake systems and preventive maintenance.Experience with welding and electrical systems.Familiarity with heavy equipment and transmission systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with hand tools and general labor tasks.Thermo King certification is a plus.Ability to identify brake components and operation of class 8 air brakes.Experience identifying irregular tire wear and handling underinflated tires.Self-motivation and eagerness to learn.Why Work Here?

This is a Contract position based out of Olathe, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
