**Job Title: Mechanic**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled mechanic to join our maintenance team. This role involves working primarily on the first shift, from 5:50 AM to 5:30 PM, with some flexibility regarding start and end times. The mechanic will be responsible for maintaining equipment and ensuring operational efficiency.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform maintenance tasks on diesel engines and heavy equipment.
+ Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues with grain elevators and conveyor belts.
+ Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment reliability.
+ Utilize schematics to identify and solve equipment problems.
+ Operate hand and power tools effectively to repair and maintain equipment.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in diesel engine maintenance.
+ Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical and hydraulic systems.
+ Experience with preventive maintenance procedures.
+ Ability to read and interpret schematics.
+ Competency in using hand and power tools.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Knowledge of grain elevator and conveyor belt systems.
+ Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.

**Work Environment**
The work environment involves operating during the first shift with a requirement to work 8 to 8.5 hours within the 5:50 AM to 5:30 PM time frame. This role may involve overtime. You will be working with diesel engines, heavy equipment, and a variety of hand and power tools.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Na, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
