**Job Title: Mechanic** **Job Description** Join a dynamic machine tool operation team in a job shop environment, where you will be responsible for repairing and rebuilding plant equipment. You will work on machinery from various plants, performing maintenance, upgrades, sandblasting, checking parts, rebuilding motors, and more. Utilize your skills in reading blueprints, handling hand tools, and troubleshooting PLCs. Engage in MIG and TIG welding and fabricating, and work with pulleys, chains, sprockets, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Basic hand tools and tool boxes are required, though high-level tools will be provided. **Responsibilities** + Repair and rebuild plant equipment. + Maintain and upgrade machinery. + Sandblast, check parts, and rebuild motors. + Read and interpret blueprints. + Troubleshoot PLCs and electrical systems. + Perform MIG and TIG welding and fabricating. + Work with mechanical components such as pulleys, chains, sprockets, hydraulics, and pneumatics. **Essential Skills** + Strong mechanical aptitude. + Proficiency in using various hand and power tools. + Ownership of basic tools and a tool box. + Ability to read blueprints. + Mechanical knowledge including hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, sprockets, pulleys, and chains. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with electrical systems (240v, 480v, sensors, wiring controls). + Skills in welding and fabrication (MIG/TIG). **Why Work Here** Enjoy a laid-back environment with a focus on promoting from within. The environment can be indoor/outdoor, potentially dirty, cold, or wet. Safety gear such as bump caps, hearing and eye protection are provided by the company. Steel-toed boots above the ankle must be worn.
