Job Title: Mechanic***up to 25/hr***

Job Description

As a mechanic, you will be responsible for installing and assembling equipment onto work trucks, including beds, plows, tool boxes, and more. Your role will involve bolting truck boxes, installing mud flaps, mounting crane holders and ramp holders, and installing tail lights. You will also read blueprints and work diagrams to install hydraulic equipment and parts on trucks, perform testing and inspections on installed components, and wire as needed.

ResponsibilitiesInstall and assemble equipment on work trucks.Assemble tool boxes and bolt them onto trucks.Install mud flaps on trucks.Mount crane and ramp holders onto trucks.Install tail lights.Read blueprints and work diagrams for hydraulic equipment installation.Perform testing and inspections on installed equipment.Wire components as needed.Essential SkillsAt least 2 years of mechanical aptitude in relevant fields.Ability to read blueprints or work instructions.Proficiency in using hand, power, and air tools.Ownership of basic hand tools, including SAE socket sets.Ability to lift 50 lbs.Capability to read a tape measure.Additional Skills & Qualifications12V wiring experience is a plus.Steel toes or composite toe shoes are required.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This position offers a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity with an all-day shift from 7 am to 4 pm. There are openings for both heavy-duty and light-duty roles. The work environment resembles a mechanic bay and can be hot in summer and cold in winter.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
