**Job Title: Truck Technician** **Job Description** Join a leading organization in commercial truck modification, renowned for transforming standard new trucks into specialized auto transport trucks, steering conversions, and work trucks. Our headquarters in Charlotte is currently expanding to meet the growing demands of our biggest client, Freightliner. We are adding two new assembly lines and require skilled technicians to help us enhance our product line with increased decontent and installation processes. **Responsibilities** + Perform extensive assembly modification work based on printed picture work instructions. + Start with basic lines, including installing a second steering wheel and performing basic modifications. + Use hand and impact tools throughout the day. + Conduct electrical routing based on plug-and-play work instructions. + Engage in the decontent of interior panels and equipment, modify cab flooring, and install assembled RHD floor plates. + Route under cab airlines and trim kick plates and fenders. + Install new modules and perform mild harness repining. + Reassemble steering assemblies and finalize switch layouts and dash reassembly. **Essential Skills** + Heavy truck experience. + Transmission pulling/swapping and suspension changes. + Proficiency in using hand and impact tools. + Basic electrical routing experience. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Rebuilding transmission experience. + Wiring experience (plug and play). + Possession of a comprehensive tool set, including air impacts, battery impacts, socket wrenches, drills, assortments of sockets and gaskets. **Why Work Here?** Our company provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing environment with a focus on innovation and excellence in truck modification. Saturdays may require work on a one-off basis. The facility is clean and organized, although not climate-controlled. You will work independently in some departments and collaborate with a team of 2-3 people in others. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, North Carolina. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $23.00/hr.
