Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician II, you will leverage your expertise to support the Operations Maintenance team in the repair and maintenance of material handling equipment and pneumatic systems. This role also involves installing, maintaining, and repairing automated packaging and distribution equipment.

Responsibilities

Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment such as conveyors.Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.Perform battery changes and preventive maintenance on batteries.Enter downtime data in daily logs and complete PM sheets.Manage work orders within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).Apply electrical knowledge of basic components to troubleshoot issues.Identify and resolve problems with equipment.Track and store department inventory, including spare parts.

Essential Skills

Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.Experience with automated conveyor systems.Ability to complete preventative maintenance on hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems.2+ years of experience in repair of material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems and controls.Blueprint and electrical schematic reading experience.Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.Experience following and demonstrating safety standards.Troubleshooting and diagnostics experience of MHE systems.Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and applications.High school or equivalent diploma.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with basic input and output function troubleshooting of building operations.Familiarity with CMMS.Continuous improvement mindset.Willingness to learn and grow within the organization.Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with OEM and safety standards.Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field.2+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field.Experience with PLC based controls systems.Robotic operation and maintenance experience.Experience in Distribution, Logistics, Manufacturing, or Industrial industries.

Work Environment

The role is based in a large distribution facility equipped with high-speed automation and robotic components. Candidates must be comfortable with performance being tracked by data and numbers. The position requires physical activity, including walking up to 10,000 steps per day and lifting up to 49 pounds. All candidates must be open to working any 10-hour shift, as positions are available for all shifts.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
