**Job Title: Mech & Robotics Technician**
**Job Description**
As a Mech & Robotics Technician, you will utilize your skills to support the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the facility. You will have the opportunity to install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment. This role provides a chance to develop your skills while mentoring junior technicians, helping them grow in their careers.
**Responsibilities**
+ Promote a safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures.
+ Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
+ Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues related to Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.
+ Maintain positive working relationships across all operational facilities.
+ Track and store department inventory.
+ Move equipment weighing up to 49 pounds and stand or walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours with reasonable accommodation.
+ Possibly travel up to 20% of the time.
**Essential Skills**
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Ability to work flexible schedules, shifts, and areas, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
+ PC competency including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college focused on Mechanical or Electrical fields.
+ Two years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
+ Two years of experience in repairing material handling equipment.
+ Two years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
+ One year of experience in metal and wood fabrication.
+ One year of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
+ Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
+ Experience with MHE safety standards according to OEM and safety standards.
+ Project management experience.
+ Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
+ Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance.
+ Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions.

**Work Environment**
The work environment may include small spaces, exposure to dust, fumes, odors, varying temperatures inside and outside, noise, vibration, and standing on concrete for long hours. The role involves repetitive physical tasks such as bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking. Physical demands include lifting parts and tools weighing an average of 20 pounds, occasionally up to 49 pounds, and requiring dexterity in eye/hand coordination, manual picking, pinching, holding, grasping, and repetitive wrist motion.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Edison, New Jersey.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
