Measurement Technician
**Job Title: Measurement Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a detail-oriented Measurement Technician to conduct precise on-site measurements for residential and commercial countertop projects. This role involves utilizing electronic measuring tools and manual instruments to capture accurate dimensions and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. **Responsibilities** + Conduct precise on-site measurements for residential and commercial countertop projects. + Utilize electronic measuring tools such as Proliner by Prodium and manual instruments to capture accurate dimensions. + Identify and document site-specific conditions that may affect design or installation, such as appliance placement, wall irregularities, cabinetry, and plumbing. + Collaborate with customers, contractors, designers, and project managers to confirm specifications and resolve site issues. + Convert field measurements into detailed, fabrication-ready CAD drawings using industry-standard software. + Apply best practices for seam placement, grain direction, and cutouts for sinks and cooktops. + Prepare final approval drawings for client review and fabrication release. + Coordinate with fabrication and installation teams to clarify measurements, drawing details, and material selections. + Ensure all measurements and drawings meet company standards for accuracy and completeness. + Review and verify project drawings against field data before fabrication. + Maintain organized records of measurement files and CAD drawings. + Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for measuring and drafting processes. **Essential Skills** + Experience in the stone countertop, millwork, cabinetry, or related industry. + Proficiency in CAD software. + Hands-on experience with laser measurement systems or digital templating tools. + Strong mechanical aptitude and spatial reasoning. + High attention to detail and accuracy. + Excellent communication and customer service skills. + Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. + Ability to work independently and manage multiple field projects. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with countertop-specific drafting/nesting software. + Familiarity with various stone materials such as granite, quartz, marble, and porcelain. **Why Work Here?** Join a rapidly growing company with a family-oriented work environment and culture. The candidate should be comfortable working in diverse job site conditions and be able to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs. Occasionally, work outside standard business hours may be required to meet project deadlines. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moorhead, Minnesota. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $36.06/hr.
