As an Infrastructure Engineer II at JPMorganChase within the Commercial & Investment Banking team, you develop knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Through this work you begin to apply your proficiency in a single application or technical methodology.
Job responsibilitiesApplies technical knowledge to assignments with a defined scope such as testing the performance of the infrastructure and understanding and verifying that requirements were successfully metDrives results, collects and analyzes monitoring data in test and production, and sees assignments through to completionCarries out day to day work assignments with some guidance and within documented parametersEscalates issues to appropriate leadersDevelops considerations for upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implicationsAdds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

3+ years of relevant experienceExperience with Python scripting and automationProficiency in Linux/Unix environmentsUnderstanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, multicast, and latency conceptsExperience supporting technical systems or applications in a production environmentUnderstanding of data workflows, data pipelines, or data distribution systemsAbility to troubleshoot technical issues using diagnostic tools and methodologiesProficient knowledge of hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessmentsExperience with cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private cloudsBasic technical knowledge of additional technical domainsBasic data fluency and automation knowledgePreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsFamiliarity with financial data content management or previous experience as a Financial Data Content Specialist (not required but beneficial)Experience with market data distribution technologies such as IDP, AMPS, AAAS, or similar platformsKnowledge of market data symbology, identifiers, and reference dataUnderstanding of futures contract rolls, corporate actions, or exchange conventionsExperience with large-scale data workflows or data quality validationExposure to trading environments or front-office supportFamiliarity with RMDS/TREP, DACS entitlements, Bloomberg BPIPE/MFA, Refinitiv Data Feeds, or SolaceExperience with direct exchange connectivity and exchange market data feedsKnowledge of monitoring and forensic tools such as ITRS GeneosExperience with data normalization, mapping, or reconciliation processes
