Maximo Business System Administrator
Job Description One of Insight Global’s major clients are seeking a Maximo Business System Administrator to join their team. Qualified candidates will be responsible for configuring, supporting, and optimizing the end-to-end work management lifecycle within IBM Maximo. This role ensures that work orders—from creation and planning through execution and closure—are efficiently managed to support reliable, cost-effective maintenance operations. The administrator ensures system reliability, data integrity, and continuous improvement in asset performance. Day to day responsibilities include: • Configure and manage work order processes, statuses, workflows, and business rules • Oversee resource assignment including labor, crews, materials, tools, and services • Ensure accurate work order closure, history tracking, and compliance with standards • Design, configure, and maintain time-based, meter-based, and condition-based PMs • Manage Master PMs, PM hierarchies, routes, and seasonal maintenance strategies • Optimize PM effectiveness to reduce reactive maintenance and asset downtime • Develop and maintain Job Plans for recurring maintenance activities • Define task sequencing, safety steps, materials, tools, and labor requirements • Support standardization and best practices across maintenance teams We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements • 3–5+ years of experience supporting or administering Maximo for maintenance or work order management • Ability to manage the full lifecycle of work orders—from creation and planning to completion and documentation—ensuring accuracy and consistency. • Experience setting up or maintaining maintenance schedules, recurring tasks, or planned work programs in a structured environment. • Comfortable working with maintenance crews, planners, supervisors, and inventory staff to ensure work is properly planned, resourced, and closed out. • Prior experience supporting electric utility
