Job Summary: This is a structured, short-term maternity nurse role suited to an experienced professional who is confident stepping into an established routine and providing seamless continuity of care within a private family household. This family are looking a maternity nurse to follow on from their current maternity nurse, whose booking will be coming to an end. The baby is thriving, settled and described as very content, and the family are keen to maintain consistency and routine during this transition. Care will be sole charge for the baby, who is primarily breastfed, with bottles offered at night. The baby wakes approximately twice overnight and settles back easily. The family are looking for a maternity nurse who can confidently step into an established routine and work independently from day one. They would also value a maternity nurse who is warm, inclusive and comfortable engaging positively with older siblings as part of family life. The current maternity nurse is very well loved, and the family are keen to find someone with a similarly professional, calm and approachable manner.
Job Specification
• Supporting breastfeeding and bottle-feeding at night
• Managing overnight care, including night waking and settling
• Providing continuity and consistency following on from the current maternity nurse
• Maintaining a calm, professional presence within a busy family household
• Engaging positively and appropriately with older siblings
Candidate Specification
• Proven experience supporting babies of a similar age
