Job Summary
This welcoming private family are seeking a maternity nanny to care for their 10-month-old baby three days per week. The focus of the role is active, engaged care without screen time, supporting development through play, outings and age-appropriate activities. The maternity nanny will attend local baby classes, prepare fresh meals for the child and help maintain consistent daily routines. A qualification in child development would be highly regarded, and Italian language skills would be a lovely bonus, though not essential.
There is a friendly dog in the home, so the maternity nanny must be comfortable around dogs. The baby has eczema, therefore confidence in managing skincare routines and attention to detail is important. The family are looking for someone confident and knowledgeable, yet gentle and measured in their approach — professional, discreet and comfortable working alongside parents while respecting boundaries. They would value someone proactive who can bring positive structure to the day while allowing parents the space to focus on their own commitments
No travel is required. A driver with their own car is essential. A two-day trial is preferred.
