Our client, a leading player in the materials management sector, is seeking a Materials Support Specialist to join their team. As a Materials Support Specialist, you will be part of the operations team supporting various departments. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Materials Support Specialist
**Location:** Houston, TX
**Pay Range:** $22 per hour
**What's the Job?**
+ Enter purchase orders; follow up on confirmations, past due deliveries, and invoicing issues as guided by buyers/supervisor/manager.
+ Review material supply and release work orders in accordance with the master schedule.
+ Work with the buyers to ensure shortages are being expedited to support commitment dates.
+ Act as a liaison between customer service, planners, and manufacturing.
+ Provide clerical support as needed and interact with department supervisors/team leaders to determine the status of assigned projects.
**What's Needed?**
+ No prior experience required; a willingness to learn is essential.
+ Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
+ Excellent communication skills to interact with various levels of personnel.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
