Scope of Position
This experienced and result-driven individual, as part of the Supply Chain / Materials team, is responsible for planning, scheduling, organizing, and coordinating all production-related materials to support manufacturing operations at the Nogales facility.
The Materials Manager ensures accurate production scheduling, effective inventory management, and uninterrupted material flow to support customer demand, plant efficiency, and financial performance.
This position is responsible for the supervision of the Planner, Buyer, and MRO Buyer roles.This position reports to the Plant Manager and is on-site at the Nogales, MX manufacturing facility.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
+ Lead the end-to-end material flow lifecycle, including demand planning, purchasing coordination, production control, WIP management, warehousing, and shipment of finished goods.
+ Establish and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) aligned with customer demand, plant capacity, and inventory strategy.
+ Analyze production requirements and material needs to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
+ Coordinate material purchasing strategies and cost-reduction initiatives in collaboration with Sourcing and Procurement.
+ Partner closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, Sourcing, Marketing, Customer Service, and Value Stream Management (VSM) to drive integrated business solutions.
+ Analyze work orders and establish production schedules that maximize material efficiency, capacity utilization, and throughput.
+ React promptly to engineering changes, order changes, and demand fluctuations; communicate updates to Value Stream teams.
+ Own inventory control and accuracy, including cycle counting, reconciliation, and inventory optimization.
+ Coordinate effective inbound and outbound logistics to ensure on-time delivery of raw materials and finished goods.
+ Support customer issue resolution and lead corrective actions related to material availability or scheduling.
+ Establish monthly Sales and Production targets in partnership with VSMs and site leadership.
+ Provide coaching and performance management to Planner and Buyer team members to achieve KPIs.
+ Promote a culture of accountability, urgency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

+ Assume responsibility for additional projects and duties as assigned by the Plant Manager or Company leadership.
+ Travel Requirements: Minimal; occasional travel as required to support business needs.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field
+ Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in materials management, production planning, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
+ Advanced proficiency in production scheduling, inventory control, and materials planning systems.
+ Strong understanding of planning, procurement, logistics, transportation, and storage systems.
+ Advanced computer skills, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
+ Fluent English (90%+) — written, verbal, and comprehension.
+ Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
+ Knowledge of and adherence to applicable laws, company policies, and safety procedures.
+ Ability to successfully complete background checks and any required pre-employment testing.
+ Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Value Stream Management environments.
+ Experience supporting high-mix, high-volume manufacturing operations.
+ Prior experience leading multi-disciplinary supply chain teams.
+ Experience working in a multinational manufacturing organization.

Working Conditions:
While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site at a manufacturing facility and will perform the majority of your duties in an office environment. You may, at times, be required to be present on the manufacturing floor and will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. You will be required to work in the office at the Nogales, MX location (Monday – Friday). Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.

+ Ability to perform repetitive tasks like typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods.
+ Ability to physically move around the office, organize or transport files, packages, or other office-related materials.
+ Ability to read documents, use a computer, and perform data entry tasks.
+ Ability to communicate clearly with management and coworkers, particularly in meetings or phone calls.
+ Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers.
+ Ability to occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment.
Pay Range: The expected salary for this position is $1,458,540.00 (MXN) yearly. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable law.
