Our client, a leader in waste management and recycling, is seeking a **Material Sorter** to join their team. As a Material Sorter, you will be part of the Landfill department, supporting the operations of the facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Material Sorter
**Location:** Hoffman, MN
**Pay Range:** $21.24 per hour
**Shift:** Summer - Monday – Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and overtime as necessary; Winter – Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. and overtime as necessary.
**What's the Job?**
+ Manually sort metal material from the conveyor line, including ferrous, nonferrous, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, and brass.
+ Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of facility equipment, including conveyors and processing systems.
+ Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and skid loaders to move and organize materials.
+ Inspect and perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure safe operation.
+ Support other operational activities as assigned, ensuring adherence to safety policies and procedures.
**What's Needed?**
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Prior experience in industrial labor, recycling, janitorial work, or facility maintenance preferred.
+ Forklift or equipment operation experience, preferably in a waste, recycling, or industrial setting.
+ Ability to read and interpret site maps and safety procedures.
+ Strong mechanical understanding and willingness to learn.
