General Responsibilities
• Moderate the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine required materials purchases
• Manages schedules, short term assignments, long term goals, staff training, annual evaluations and other necessary programs / policies
• Managespurchasing activities with manufacturing, planning and engineering departments to acquire necessary inventory in a cost effective, timely manner
• Manages the evaluation of vendor reliability, makes recommendations to company regarding any opportunities for lower cost or more efficient vendor options
Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members
• Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
The Material Planning Supervisor is responsible for inventory management, vendor delivery information, supply status, coordinating material planning activities and reporting on material issues.
They will need to advise with internal and external personnel and manage a team of employees for material planning activities.
Develop material planning staff to ensure that their activities meet pre-established key performance indicators like inventory reduction, material delivery on time and backlog delinquency reduction.
Additionally, this position leads the supply chain manager through maintaining proper inventory levels of materials used on a regular basis.

Base Salary Range:
$111,600.00 - $153,560.00At Sensata, our employees are the key to our success and growth.
