Our client, a leader in logistics and supply chain management, is seeking a Material Logistics Specialist to join their team. As a Material Logistics Specialist, you will be part of the logistics department supporting various project teams. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive problem-solving mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Material Logistics Specialist
**Location:** Alpharetta, GA
**Pay Range:** $25.00 - $28.00
**Shift:** 8AM - 5PM
**What's the Job?**
+ Serve as a point of contact on logistics-related issues, collaborating with project management, production, and quality teams.
+ Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, reconciling with purchase orders.
+ Organize and maintain inventory and storage areas, implementing lean principles for accuracy and accessibility.
+ Coordinate and schedule outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery to customers or internal departments.
+ Monitor safety procedures and compliance with company policies and regulations, including OSHA standards.
**What's Needed?**
+ High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or certification in logistics or supply chain preferred.
+ 3+ years of experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
+ Proficiency with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment safely.
