Material Handler/Sit-Down Forklift - 1st Shift
Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

As a Material Handler, you will perform tasks in accordance with the Quality and Safety Management Systems. You will be responsible for the movement of materials using equipment such as hand trucks and hoists, and will also operate hand tools for the construction and preparation of shipping containers.

ResponsibilitiesUtilize material handling equipment for production, shipping, and waste management.Operate the sitdown forklift Construct and prepare shipping containers, crating and banding products as required.Inspect products to ensure they meet quality, engineering, and customer specifications.Complete and maintain accurate electronic processes and paperwork.Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards.Complete additional tasks or projects as needed.Essential SkillsExperience in material handling, shipping, and receiving.Proficiency in operating a sit-down forklift (Hyster) for 80% of the time.Basic math and reading comprehension skills.Ability to read, speak, and understand English.Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and effectively.Additional Skills & QualificationsGED or High School Diploma preferred.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a manufacturing environment on the 1st shift from 7:00am to 4:45pm with a 45-minute lunch break. The dress code requires full-length pants made of sturdy material and steel-toed boots. Safety glasses, ear plugs, and safety sleeves are provided for your protection.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Dimas, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
