**Job Title: Material Handler**
**Job Description**
In this role, you will be responsible for transporting materials to the welding department, loading and unloading trucks, and moving materials from the shop to the yard. You will occasionally work outside, requiring appropriate winter attire. You must be comfortable operating a heavy-duty forklift capable of lifting up to 36,000 lbs.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate a forklift, jib crane, and overhead hoist, ensuring lifts are properly and safely rigged.
+ Operate forklifts indoors and outdoors to load and unload material across all departments, and maintain job lanes.
+ Unload and receive incoming LTL and flatbed trucks, as well as freight from the Waconia facility.
+ Pull assembly parts and stage by job, storing raw materials in designated areas.
+ Pull materials for production as needed and complete paperwork to relieve inventory and assign time.
+ Monitor and organize indoor and outdoor inventory, ensuring racks and equipment piles are neat and orderly.
+ Work with drivers to position and maneuver trucks according to best freight unloading practices.
+ Record and maintain project document information, such as bills of materials or parts sales orders.
+ Verify received items against packing lists, noting discrepancies and reporting them to your supervisor.
+ Deliver verified packing lists to your supervisor.
+ Label all incoming items with company part numbers, if applicable.
+ Adhere to safety standards and use PPE at all times.
+ Maintain a clean, organized, stocked, and consolidated material storage area and outdoor yard.
+ Assist with fabrication, grinding, and manufacturing tasks as assigned.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1-2 years of forklift operation experience.
+ Experience with loading and unloading equipment.
+ Proficiency in utilizing reach trucks, pallet jacks, sit-down forklifts, shipping and receiving, stand-up forklifts, and reach trucks.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 1-2 years of loading and unloading equipment.
+ Experience in shipping and receiving processes.

**Work Environment**
The work environment consists of an open-concept manufacturing facility with 15-20 employees. It fosters a team-oriented atmosphere where safety and organization are prioritized. Dress warmly when working outside during winter months.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
