We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling inventory, filling customer orders, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness and organization. This role requires completing routine tasks with detailed instructions, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
ResponsibilitiesComplete basic, routine tasks with detailed instructions.Move inventory or equipment, fill customer orders, and pull material from racks.Unload incoming material, load trucks and/or customer vehicles.Help maintain the upkeep of the warehouse.Receive, place/return items into stock inventory locations.Pull and assemble orders based on reviewing work/shipping orders or other documentation.Tag material for proper identification and complete all required documentation.Move material from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas using forklifts, side loaders, or cranes.Maintain work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.Sort and place material on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, or product code.Perform spot checks on inventory and complete daily and/or ad hoc checks for proper tagging of material.Report any irregularities to supervisor for direction.Restock material.Adhere to and ensure compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.Perform all other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.Essential SkillsForklift operationMaterial handlingInventory managementOrder pickingRF scanner usageGeneral labor tasksLoadingAdditional Skills & Qualifications0-5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.High School diploma/GED preferred.Valid Driver's License preferred.Warehousing and material handling experience preferred.Ability to obtain a certification to operate all required motorized material handling equipment.Clear oral and written communication skills, particularly legible handwriting.Adequate manual dexterity, finger dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and multi-limb coordination.Ability to read and comprehend written instructions as applied to work situations.Basic measurement skills, including taking, converting, and/or using measurements of length, width, height, and weight for basic math computations.Basic arithmetic skills to calculate and convert decimals and fractions.Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.Ability to make sound decisions based on a combination of factors including knowledge, experience, and judgment.Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with supervisors and co-workers.Why Work Here?Join a supportive and collaborative team where your contributions are valued.
