Job Title: Material Handler Forklift Operator

Job Description

The contractor will support the assembly team as a parts runner, inventory technician, and forklift operator. Responsibilities include driving a 6 and 10 ton forklift both indoors and in a yard setting. Additionally, the role involves assisting the team with basic assembly tasks.

Responsibilities

Operate a 6 and 10 ton forklift in both indoor and yard settings.Support the assembly team with parts running and basic assembly tasks.Manage inventory and material handling tasks efficiently.Perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs as needed.Work independently and effectively in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Skills

Experience with 6 and 10 ton forklifts.Experience in an industrial manufacturing or shop environment.Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.Proficiency in inventory and material handling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Leadership experience as a team lead.Forklift certification.Experience with inventory management systems and computer literacy.Knowledge of TDG/WHMIS regulations.

Work Environment

The work environment is within an oil and gas manufacturing company specializing in oil field equipment. The Materials Department is located on the floor beside the Production Area. The shift is Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with optional overtime available after 40 hours per week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CALGARY, Alberta.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
