Material Handler (ENTRY LEVEL)
**Job Title: Material Handler** **Job Description** Join a dynamic team in a steel distribution center where you will be involved in shipping and cutting metal coils. Gain hands-on experience in warehouse operations, including cutting, overhead crane operation, skid building, packaging, and machine operation. This role offers the opportunity to learn every aspect of receiving and shipping steel products, operating an overhead crane, and using industrial forklifts and cutting mechanisms. **Responsibilities** + Operate overhead cranes and sit-down industrial forklifts. + Utilize saws and cutting mechanisms for metal coils. + Read work orders and perform housekeeping duties. + Maintain flexibility for all assigned duties with production goals in mind. + Process, cut, package, quality check, and bundle products for shipment. **Essential Skills** + 1-2 years of manufacturing experience. + Ability to use tape measures and perform accurate measurements. + Experience in material handling and warehouse operations. + Skills in crane and forklift operation. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in a heavy industrial environment. + Attention to detail for quality control of metal products. + Experience with RF scanners is advantageous. **Why Work Here?** This position offers the potential for career growth and upward mobility. The environment can be physically demanding and occasionally dirty. The role is structured as a contract with the potential to transition to a union position. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $26.07 - $26.07/hr.
