Job Title: Material Handler
Job Description
The Material Handler will be responsible for operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts to efficiently move materials to and from production lines. This role involves gathering inventory, staging, stacking, and wrapping pallets, as well as loading and unloading trucks. The position is divided equally between the production area and the warehouse/shipping area, focusing on getting products ready for shipment.
Responsibilities
Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move materials.Gather inventory and transport materials to production lines.Move materials from docks to inventory and from lines to docks.Stage, stack, and wrap pallets for shipment.Load and unload trucks efficiently.Prepare products for shipment.Essential Skills
2+ years of experience operating sit-down forklifts.2+ years of experience operating stand-up forklifts in Alsip.Proficiency with RF scanner technology.Experience loading and unloading trucks.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in chemical, oil, or food manufacturing is advantageous.Ability to lift, sort, count, wrap, and stage products.Experience in batch mixing and material handling.Why Work Here?

The Alsip Facility is a modern, clean, and temperature-controlled environment, featuring a smaller workforce and a focus on customized orders. The Chicago Heights Facility, while not as new, is also temperature-controlled and houses a larger workforce with more production lines. Both facilities prioritize safety and offer organized, efficient operations. Employees can expect a professional environment with security checkpoints and multiple break rooms.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alsip, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.25 - $18.35/hr.
