We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator and Crane Operator to manage materials in our manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will ensure proper piece counts and packaging, maintain integrity of part numbers and heat codes, and operate machinery efficiently.

Forklift Operator Responsibilities
Check with the stack count list for proper piece count and type of packaging needed.Make out an Inspection time ticket before the end of the shift per work instruction.Transfer material as needed and organize storage areas by part number and heat codes.Maintain and operate automated stretch wrap machine.Verify material is properly tagged before moving and ensure proper containers are at production and secondary operations.Provide coverage to production lines first and maintain part number and heat code integrity at all times.Move chips, dust, and any other scrap material to proper areas for scrapping.Report any mechanical or safety problems to the foreman as soon as possible.Notify foreman of any equipment or quality issues observed.Relieve employees for breaks and lunch as needed, and handle department emergencies that may occur.Inspect forklift per appropriate checklist as required and perform any required operator preventative maintenance.Report any damage to or by the tow motor to the Processing or Shipping Foreman immediately.Add or remove snow chains as required and load/unload trucks indoors and outdoors.Visually check all baskets received and unloaded for defects and determine appropriate disposition.Remove any dust buckets or heavy garbage and place in the proper containers.Ensure all material is properly tagged and weighed per procedures.Remove any scrap axles and place in the proper containers following work instructions and procedures.Ensure red tags are placed on product and necessary information is filled in.Remove all foreign and tagging material from customer dunnage.Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment.Follow all safety and plant rules and regulations.Crane Operator Responsibilities
• Safely removes steel bundles from incoming steel trucks and places each bundle in designated
storage bins within the forge warehouse.
• Transports steel bundles between the storage bins and the appropriate shear machines.
• Confirms each bundle is tagged with a part number, heat code, customer name, and weight.
• Immediately reports any safety concerns, or discrepancies to supervisor on staff.
• Safely removes slug buckets from the shears and disposes of them in the appropriate
receptacles.
• Safely removes each full rack from shears conveyor line and place the racks in the designated
area.
• Verifies heat codes to maintain integrity.
• Safely removes Upsetter tooling from the die cart and places on/near the unit designated for
the tooling.
• Scraps excess tags at the end of each heat change, length change or job change.
• Collaborates with the hook up person or “helper” on required duties.
• Ensures that all bundle color codes face the walkway.
• Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
• Follows all safety and plant rules and regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Forklift operation and certification.1+ years in a manufacturing environment.1+ years operating industrial forklifts.Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment
This is a heavy industrial forging environment that is not temperature controlled. Candidates must be open to all shifts as shift assignments are determined by union regulations. Shifts include 1st (6:30am - 2:30pm), 2nd (2:30pm - 10:30pm), and 3rd (10:30pm - 6:30am). An additional shift premium is provided for off-shift work. Overtime is applicable after 8 hours of work.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Cleveland, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.62 - $24.62/hr.
