**Material Handler - 1st Shift**
**Job Description**
As a Shift Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in supporting the welding department by picking and delivering materials and products from the warehouse. Your responsibilities will include verifying the accuracy of loads and receipts, maintaining inventory levels, and operating a forklift for product movements.
**Responsibilities**
+ Pick materials and products from the warehouse to deliver to the welding department.
+ Retrieve sheet metal from both indoor and outdoor locations when necessary.
+ Verify the accuracy and receipt of loads, shippers, logs, and bills of lading.
+ Utilize the ERP system (Epicor) to analyze BOMs and methods for staging and moving materials.
+ Maintain accurate inventory levels using a scanner and desktop computer.
+ Operate a forklift for the majority of product movements.
+ Measure, read prints, and follow work instructions to verify parts before picking.
**Essential Skills**
+ 2+ years of forklift experience required.
+ 1+ year of ERP system (e.g., Epicor, SAP) utilization required.
+ Experience in shipping and receiving, inventory management, and material handling.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 2+ years of order picking experience preferred.
+ Customer service skills are a plus.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is an OEM metal shop with moderate to high volume levels. The role is on the 1st shift, from Monday to Thursday, 5am to 3:30pm. You will spend more than 50% of your workday standing or walking and frequently lifting 50 lbs or more. Expect exposure to moving mechanical parts and noisy machinery, and you will be required to wear safety glasses throughout the day.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bloomington, MN.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
